Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 28 October 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Luxé Parfums website at luxeparfums.co.za and your purchases from our online shop.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, subject to your rights under South African law. You can save or print a copy of these terms using your browser.
For questions or help, please email us at orders@luxeparfums.co.za, call 074 245 2747 or use our Contact Us page.
2. Who can place an order
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you give us is accurate and complete.
3. Products and descriptions
Luxé Parfums sells fragrances and related products from various brands and manufacturers. Each product is listed under its own brand and product name, such as Lattafa, French Avenue or Fragrance World.
Unless we expressly state otherwise, Luxé Parfums is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or officially connected to these manufacturers or any other fragrance house.
We make reasonable efforts to keep product descriptions, sizes, prices, availability and photographs accurate and up to date. Please note that:
- product photographs are for illustration and may differ slightly from the actual product;
- manufacturers may change packaging, bottle designs or labels without changing the product itself;
- how a fragrance smells and wears varies from person to person;
- product availability may change without notice.
If a product differs materially from its description, your rights under consumer protection law are not affected.
4. Prices and delivery charges
All prices on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR). The price shown for each product is the full price you pay for that product.
Delivery costs R60 per order and is added to your shopping bag, so you see the full amount before you send your order.
We take reasonable care to make sure prices are correct. If an obvious pricing error occurs, we will tell you before you pay, and you may choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel your order. We will never charge you an amount you have not seen and agreed to.
5. Placing an order
Our website lets you choose products, review your shopping bag and send an order request. Before sending your request, please check that:
- the products and quantities are correct;
- your contact details are accurate;
- your chosen PAXI collection point and any delivery instructions are correct;
- you have reviewed the product prices, the delivery fee and the total.
You can change your selection, correct your details or leave the checkout at any time before you send your request.
Sending an order request does not by itself mean that the products are available or that we have accepted your order. We will review your request and email you a secure PayFast payment link. A binding agreement is formed when we confirm that we have accepted your order.
We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary — for example, if a product is unavailable, a material pricing error has occurred, or we reasonably suspect fraud — and we will let you know. If we cannot fulfil an order you have already paid for, we will refund you in full.
6. Payment
All payments are made through PayFast, our only payment gateway. Once we confirm your order, we email you a secure PayFast payment link, and you can pay using any payment method PayFast offers, such as card or instant EFT. We do not accept direct bank transfers, cash or any other form of payment.
We process your order once PayFast has confirmed your payment. Payments are also subject to PayFast’s own terms and conditions.
For your protection:
- we will only ever ask you to pay through a PayFast payment page;
- we will never ask you to send your card or banking details by email, phone or message, or to pay into a bank account;
- if you receive a payment request that does not lead to PayFast, do not pay it, and contact us directly.
7. Delivery and collection
We deliver through PAXI to the PAXI collection point you choose at checkout. Our Delivery Information page explains delivery times, the delivery fee and how to collect your parcel.
Please give us accurate contact details and choose the correct collection point.
Delivery times are estimates given in good faith and may be affected by events beyond our reasonable control, such as courier delays, public holidays, severe weather or other disruptions. We will tell you about any significant delivery problem where we reasonably can.
Nothing in these terms removes your rights if an order is not delivered within the agreed time or the time set by law.
8. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Cancellations, returns and refunds are handled in line with South African consumer protection law and our Returns and Refunds Policy, which explains how to request them.
8.1 Cooling-off right
Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 applies, you may cancel a purchase without giving a reason within seven days after receiving the goods. You pay the direct cost of returning the goods, and we refund you within 30 days of your cancellation.
8.2 Defective or unsafe products
Under section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, you may return goods that are defective or unsafe within six months after delivery, and choose whether we repair or replace them or refund you.
8.3 Change of mind
Change-of-mind returns are accepted within seven days after you receive your order, for perfumes that are unopened, unused and sealed in their original packaging. We do not accept change-of-mind returns of opened, sprayed or used perfumes. The full conditions are in our Returns and Refunds Policy.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Product use and safety
Please read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and warnings when using fragrances. For your safety:
- avoid contact with your eyes and with irritated or broken skin;
- keep fragrances away from flames, heat and other sources of ignition;
- store products as the manufacturer recommends;
- if you have sensitive skin, test the product on a small area of skin first.
If irritation or another reaction occurs, stop using the product and seek medical advice if necessary.
We cannot guarantee that a particular fragrance will suit everyone’s preferences or skin. This does not limit your rights in respect of defective, unsafe or misrepresented products.
10. Website use and availability
We aim to keep our website accurate, accessible and working, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of technical errors. We may update product listings, correct errors, change features or temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security or operational reasons.
You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with how it works or use it for any unlawful purpose.
11. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the original content of this website — including its text, design, branding and graphics created for Luxé Parfums — is owned by or licensed to Luxé Parfums. Third-party brand names, trade marks, product names and product images remain the property of their owners.
You may view and use the website for your personal shopping. You may not copy, distribute or commercially use our original content without our permission, except where the law allows.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Luxé Parfums is not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as disruptions to third-party delivery services or temporary website outages.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where doing so would be unlawful, and these terms do not limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act or any other applicable law.
13. Privacy
We collect and process personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Our Cookie Policy explains how our website uses browser storage.
14. Complaints and disputes
If you have a complaint about a product, payment, delivery or anything else, please email us at orders@luxeparfums.co.za, call 074 245 2747 or use our Contact Us page. We will investigate and make reasonable efforts to resolve it fairly.
If we cannot resolve the matter together, you may refer it to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (cgso.org.za). Nothing in these terms prevents you from approaching a regulator, ombud or court.
15. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including its mandatory consumer protection laws.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes to our business, products, website, payment arrangements, delivery services or legal obligations. The terms published on this page when you place an order apply to that order.
